Game economy balancing starts with flow
If currency enters faster than meaningful sinks remove it, player balances usually grow whether you intended that or not.
Faucets
Faucets are sources of currency: quests, drops, login rewards, sales to NPCs, passive generation and compensation rewards.
Sinks
Sinks permanently remove currency: upgrades, crafting fees, repairs, consumables, rerolls, taxes or convenience purchases.
Net flow is only the first check
Even a globally balanced economy can feel broken if currency is concentrated among a subset of players or if desirable items are badly priced relative to earning rates.
Think in affordability time
For every important item, estimate how many normal play sessions a target player needs to afford it. This connects economy math to progression and motivation.
Stress-test behavior
Players do not all earn and spend the same amount. Deeper models should vary activity, spending behavior and item purchase timing rather than relying on one average player.
